Last summer I spent 2 weeks with the Thighs of Steel crew having a great/very hard time cycling 1,700km across 6 countries, but more importantly with your help I raised £2,500 to support vulnerable refugees in camps in Greece.
With Brexit, climate change, and more Brexit dominating the news headlines you could be forgiven for thinking the refugee crisis has disappeared. Alas there are still tens of thousands of people living in camps in Greece without food, water, shelter, education, and healthcare. That makes me sad and I want to continue to help....but how?
Well, this summer I've been asked to be part of the team running the same London to Athens bike ride, and over 4 weeks I'll be cycling 2,500km from the SW of France, over the Alps, and all the way to Rome! We are raising money for Help Refugees, a UK-based NGO which provides humanitarian aid to, and advocacy for, refugees around the world.
Help me make the world a bit less crap by sponsoring me (don't worry, you're not paying for me to go on a jolly(!), every penny goes to projects that help refugees).
Check out the videos to get an idea of what i've let myself in for!
