THIGHS OF STEEL 2019

Matthew Lamb

Norwich

About this campaign

On the 13th of July I will be leaving Paris with the aim of cycling to Bordeaux as part of Thighs of Steel 2019. Thighs of Steel is a bike ride from London to Athens raising funding and awareness for Help Refugees, a charity supporting grassroots refugee projects. The money raised from Thighs of Steel has managed to secure the future of Khora, a project based in Athens until at least 2021. Khora has done incredible work since it started in 2016, they have served over 240,000 meals, provide 5362 legal assessments, teach 6620 classes and work on over 2553 teeth in their dentist surgery. The project is run by volunteers and relies on fundraising efforts such as this to keep it going.

After visiting Khora in March 2017 I was really impressed with the operation and moved by the support they gave to those who need it. I've been following the refugee crisis for several years. This is my small way of raising the profile of and funds for Help Refugees, Khora, and the countless people whose lives have been affected by circumstances beyond their control.

For those who can afford to, please give!
